Two signs appear in quick succession; answer both in the right order.
This is a solo practice run: your results stay in this browser tab and are never sent anywhere. To contribute to a class result, join a live session with a code instead.
This task is new to Classperiment and has not yet been fully tested. Issues may occur in the procedure or scoring. The expected effect may also fail to appear reliably.
Task time: 4–6 min; slow up to about 9
Each trial shows two signs in quick succession: first a shape on the left, then an arrow on the right. Answer both – always the shape first, then the arrow.
Shape with your left hand: D for a circle, F for a square.
Arrow with your right hand: J for an arrow pointing left, K for an arrow pointing right.
On a phone, hold it upright and tap the shape with your left thumb and the arrow with your right thumb. On a laptop, please use the keys, not the mouse.
Answer the shape as soon as it appears, without waiting for the arrow. Then answer the arrow as quickly and accurately as possible.
You start with 8 practice trials with feedback. Then come 80 trials in two blocks with a short break. The whole task takes about 4 minutes.
