Choose between four decks and explore how you learn from gains and losses.
This is a solo practice run: your results stay in this browser tab and are never sent anywhere. To contribute to a class result, join a live session with a code instead.
This task is new to Classperiment and has not yet been fully tested. Issues may occur in the procedure or scoring. The expected effect may also fail to appear reliably.
Task time: 8–12 min, pauses extra
You start with 2,000 points. Choose one of the four decks 100 times. Each draw brings points and can also cost points. Try to have as many points as possible at the end. On every draw you can freely decide which deck you choose.
The points are hypothetical. A low score has no consequences. The four decks stay available; their rules do not change during your participation.
F, G, H and J choose decks 1 to 4 from left to right; you can also tap or click a deck. After each choice you first see the gain, then the whole result with your new score.
In a classroom session, the explanation and results appear after the instructor releases them.
2 practice draws, then 100 decisions; about 8–12 minutes, longer at your own pace
