Six invented names form a fixed ranking; learn which of two names ranks higher
This is a solo practice run: your results stay in this browser tab and are never sent anywhere. To contribute to a class result, join a live session with a code instead.
This task is new to Classperiment and has not yet been fully tested. Issues may occur in the procedure or scoring. The expected effect may also fail to appear reliably.
Task time: 6–9 min, up to about 11½ plus introduction
Six invented names form one fixed ranking. For each pair, choose the name that ranks higher. You may guess at first. During learning, feedback shows which name ranks higher. Later, familiar and new pairs will be tested without feedback. The ranking stays the same. Please do not take notes.
Answer with the left or the right card, or with the keys F (left) and J (right). Each pair stays on screen for at most 4 seconds. There is no “Don’t know” and no skipping of individual pairs; you can end the task at any time with “End task”.
In a classroom session, the explanation and results appear after the instructor releases them.
