Two shapes appear again and again; each time, estimate how likely a star is to follow
This is a solo practice run: your results stay in this browser tab and are never sent anywhere. To contribute to a class result, join a live session with a code instead.
This task is new to Classperiment and has not yet been fully tested. Issues may occur in the procedure or scoring. The expected effect may also fail to appear reliably.
Task time: 4–6 min
You see two shapes, one after the other. Sometimes a star appears afterwards. For each shape, estimate how likely the star is this time. Choose a value from 0 % to 100 %. The star appears independently of your answer. Watch the relations; they may change over time.
Tap or click a value, or move with the arrow keys and press Enter. Each estimate has 3 seconds, the two initial estimates up to 6 seconds; your first choice counts.
In a classroom session, the explanation and results appear after the instructor releases them.
2 practice trials and 2 initial estimates, then 48 trials without a break (about 4 minutes)
