Sort picture cards by a hidden rule, guided only by feedback (after Grant & Berg, 1948)
This is a solo practice run: your results stay in this browser tab and are never sent anywhere. To contribute to a class result, join a live session with a code instead.
Task time: about 2.5 min
Four key cards lie in a row. Below them, one new card appears at a time.
Put each new card on the key card where you think it belongs.
We cannot tell you how to match the cards. After each card you only see whether you were right or wrong. Use that to get as many cards right as possible.
Click the key card or press 1–4.
Take your time: only correct sorting counts, not speed.
If you do not answer for 15 seconds, the next card appears.
Starts with a short practice round that is not scored.
In the practice round every card is identical to one key card. Put it on its twin.
At most 64 cards. The task ends on its own.
